mHealth4Afrika Showcased within the Exhibition  of the University of Gondar Community Service & Technology Transfer Conference, 09 June 2017

The 27th Annual Staff and Students Community Services and Technology Transfer Conference took place in Gondar, Ethiopia on 09 and 10 June 2017. There were a significant number of participants attending sessions and visiting the stands and posters in the Exhibition. 

mHealth4Afrika was showcased within the Exhibition area on 09 June. This provided an opportunity to raise wider awareness of the mHealth4Afrika activities and provide demonstrations. 

There was a lot of interest in the mHealth4Afrika demonstrations. The CE approved sensors that the nurses will be using at the point of care in the intervention clinics in Ethiopia during the beta pilot to take blood pressure, pulse, oxygen in the blood, glucose, temperature and ECG were also demonstrated. This provided an opportunity for visitors to the stand to try the sensors and see how the readings are presented on the tablet using bluetooth.

Senior management from the University of Gondar visited the stand and viewed the demonstrations being undertaken. They were very interested in the activities being supported.
